I know we never speak of it but damn this sucks. when is the site going back to normal? why is it fucked up? and why for so long? I never want to complain about this site because I love it here. it is my main and pretty much only site I use. I know it is free and all this is done by volunteers but damn I am willing to pay and support the site I love and use so much. what can we do to help? (besides not bitch about it). I need this site and it has been so slow and difficult to use for a while now. what is going on? I assume it is the disgruntled local hacker fucking with it. I wish things were back to normal here. We all love and appreciate this site and I bet most of us would gladly pay to get it working right again. I support and love the hardworking volunteers who keep things going here. please forgive my bitching but wanted to say, we support you, I will pay or do what it takes to make it work better here. we need ourhome2, we miss our old safe space and hope things get better soon. it would help if we had updates and knew what was happening.

It's definitely a hacker messing with the coding. Lucky to have my regulars but this also my only site as well. Will likely be jumping onto P411. I hate those "backpage" style sites. I prefer a forum like this where I can get a feel for how a person acts, the protection they allow us to have in actually writing alerts with the information needed to protect ourselves and being able to track a person.

Love you admin/mod team and all the shenanigans you put up with in dealing with all of us :)

I came to this forum to see if anyone had any tricks on how to make it work? Or maybe a different forum where everyone is moving to?

Also agree on not liking the back page style sites. I like to look at reviews and forum activity to help give me confidence the person I?m about to meet is the one they say they are. I can only imagine that feeling is much stronger for the ladies. Hope this site gets figured out soon.

No trucks but AMAN did a post with URL links to inbox etc to make it easier to access some of those.
Not sure of any others as good as this one honestly. Eccie only good to catch up with folks you already know and we have to be "inconspicuous" about our ThreADs in coed/sandbox as far as letting gents know we're available and where we are but it's pretty dead there and on Pacepro. I think p411 the only other decent option for TX. I haven't tried TER or some of the others. Those usually better for the Midwest I think.

I find it odd that oh2 is terribly slow in the morning and afternoon, but then speeds up in the evening. That and all its other problems. Has anyone else encountered this?

To be honest if a donate button is what it takes/ is needed to beat the hackers then i'm pretty sure most of us at least the providers would donate SOMETHING. I agree.

Truth(s) be told:

-- Hackers and ddos interruptors continuously attacking the site and the host. The data bases are intact but not always easily accessible. We have backups elsewhere, fwiw.

-- our vBulletin software is at end of life and cannot be upgraded. Migrating to a new OS has been investigated but nothing successful nor solid have been found as yet.

-- starting a new website is easy to imagine, not that easy to build much less to properly host, and properly protect, but it is our next action.

Meanwhile, restoration and repair efforts continue and your patience is appreciated.

I know it can't be easy going in there and fixing all the coding they managed to fuck up this last time but this site is definitely the best one compared to everyone else's in regards to safety, navigation and yalls overall set up in general :) and on volunteer efforts at that

Vbulletin announced an upgrade just last month. But I?ve also seen chatter on the interwebz that the program is dead.


Pacepro appears to be running well using myBB. I don?t know how well it will run with 157,000 members and a hoard of guests. Perhaps you should consult with trulysummer and her tech.


I appreciate that oh2 is a free site. But more than a free site, we need a reliable, safe, and secure site. If paying for it is what it takes, I am willing to do that.

There are apparently some folks from eccie actually handling pacepro as well so wouldn't be too sure on that site BTW
