I've never cared for doubles or group activities.

I've had some excellent doubles, hobby and civvie, and yes the team needs to be well paired. It has to be an extended session though. There are too many combinations to explore in just an hour.
I prefer to tag team than do doubles.
This is when you have a half hour with one provider. After the half hour finishes, a second provider enters the room for the second half hour. The first provider can either leave or stay in the room and watch, but either way she's not an active participant because her time is up.
With tag teaming the total donation is the same but the experience lasts twice as long; one hour as opposed to a half hour of two concurrent sessions. Tag teaming is more of a street activity because street women will often share motel rooms.
