According to wikipedia, the puffin uses cloud services and thus many websites may detect the puffin as a "proxy browser" and if those sites bar proxies, the puffin won't connect. Wikipedia blocks proxies, by the way, and home2 blocks proxies that have been linked to use by spammers and jammers.
