I’m going to be compiling a list of ways to reach me in case this happens. You guys and girls might want to think about exchanging info in case it really does happen. I’m not the type to call or message clients really. It’s a boundary I won’t cross, so I depend on you to reach out to me! FYI.

Some of us depend on the hobby to live. Others, not so much. Either way, I’d hate it if I lost contact with some of you never to be reconnected. I’ve made a lot of great friends over the years. Maybe I’m being paranoid, but it’s best to be prepared right?

For me the best way to keep in contact is going to be thru the proton email I have set up for me and a few girls I help maintain schedules for.

I think it’s much ado about nada. Like Y2K, Mayan calendar. Good analogies Loxly. More like last April, when BP and eccie went down. Panic ensued. OH2 stepped up and filled the gap...thank you CK. And eccie came back, at least a semi-sanitized version of it.

FOSTA/sesta was in effect on the day it was signed into law back in April. No reason to believe that Armageddon will happen on January 1.

No offense to the women here that might feel differently. I cannot truly empathize since I don’t know what hardships you encountered last April when eccie temporarily went offline. But from my perspective at least, the women that I’ve met did not appear to suffer from that period. But I appreciate the ladies’ desires to be prepared.

Yea, it's a bit blown over. Though I certainly understand the concern among sex workers and even hobbyists. But there is no "blackout".

Guys these sites are not even typically hosted on American soil. Even if the government had some agenda (and they don't) to shut them down the way they did Backpage (which btw was done for child pornography reasons along with sex trafficking of minors and various child/sex slavery rings). That was and is the primary concern of the government. It was the entire reason the senator who started that crusade which ultimately resulted in the shutting down of Backpage and the FOSTA/SESTA acts. Honestly though if you knew anything about the prolific nature of child/minor sex slavery and prostitution rings you would understand why that was done. I worked as a technology director for a cultural exchange company that handled visas and worked with ICE (immigration and control) and I'll explain more about that down below.

But you can easily run a site, just like many of these here now, and there is simply no way to shut it down for a number of reasons (here are just a few):
#1 no jurisdiction to do so
#2 no way to know who owns it (unlike Backpage - which was dumb about it - but to be fair to them it was b/c of the safe harbors act they did so, as did many others, so I give them a pass on that idiocy)
#3 simply don't care that much to go to that effort to "try" to shutdown sites that are not even their target audience. it would be impossible anyway so why try.

These acts were brought about to combat human sex trafficking, especially of minors, and child pornography. Yes, did it, and does it affect "sex workers" in general to a degree? Yes. It does. It's wasn't and isn't the main purpose though.

You cannot "blackout" these sites. You can't. The justice department, no one, can shut them down, not if done properly. They can't. Period. Does that mean some won't choose to go down or disappear? Hmm. Very possible. That part remains to be seen. But you can't stop it. No.

Sex trafficking of minors is a huge issue. I worked for a company as the VP of technology services that specialized in cultural exchange and the handling of visas and immigration services to our country.

Trafficking of humans, minors, prostitution, slavery, etc... is one of the most prevalent issues facing ICE and all foreign immigration services and departments. Places like Backpage were hotbeds for criminals who targeted sex trafficked "slaves" and minors, children forced in from countries like the Philippine's, Thailand, Mexico, South America, Africa, etc... and forced to be peoples slaves or work for sex.

That is the primary target of FOSTA/SESTA. It's a huge and rampant issue. You have no idea how large an issue human slavery and sex trafficking of minors has become within ICE (our immigration & enforcement division) as well as the various visa offices across the globe. Yes, slavery still exists today. Sex slavery as well as other forms. Particularly with minors from under developed countries. That's not just stuff in the movies (trust me - it's one of the #1 issues at all immigration depts in any 1st world countries). It's a terrible epidemic. Backpage and places like that, which were totally unmoderated, wastelands, essentially "dark webs" that existed in the "open", are and were the main targets (not Eccie, not Oh2, not places like them).

In the end you cannot shut them down. You can't. From a purely technical standpoint there is no way for the government to do it (even if they wanted to).
