Any mobile motorcycle mechanics in here? Hit me up. Need work on an 07 Harley.

What is wrong with your bike? I been wrenching on Harleys since the 70’s.

I need my front break line replaced. I have the parts but no knowhow. Probably need all fluids replaced at the same time.

I’m not in DFW but what you are explaining is a very simple fix. Any reputable shop should do the whole thing in about 45 minutes while you wait.

FYI, typically a Harley dealer will not touch a bike more than 10 years old. Also, they will NOT use your parts.

Many shops don’t like to use your parts because there is no profit in it and if there is a problem with the part they won’t warranty the work. Whereas if they source the part from a known source then they will be in a better position to cover labor and replace a defective part.

On that note, I know there are some mobile mechanics…I just don’t know any personally.

I've got a 1993 Harley sportster I'm looking to invest my money in. In other words I'm trying to buy this bike but it's a non runner, its so beautiful. I'm pretty handy myself. So I'm gonna look into ordering a used engine and go from there. The plan is to be riding one by next spring. You know I like to ride Doc, I'll have to take you up on that ride next time I come out to Austin or Houston and you're around.

My advice is to stay away from a non-running bike and buy a running, fuel injected bike. The 93 will be a carburetor bike. With this crap ethanol fuel we get these days, in a month, the carb will be varnished up if you don't ride it often. What you will spend getting a used engine (lord knows what condition it will be in) plus labor to install, you can avoid the hassle and guess work and will be money ahead getting a much newer bike that runs! That's my $0.02 worth.

I hear you. I was actually gonna attempt to do the motor swap my self so I wouldn't have to worry about labor. I think it would be a great project. I've worked on cars before and have been able to do a great job I'm mechanically inclined if you will. I know Mike's are a whole different story but it's cheap and what the hell she s a beauty. I'm not necessarily looking for a bike I just came across this one from my friend

Eagle Mountain Cycles in Azle is a small shop that has worked well for me. Also check out the North Texas Harley group on Facebook for recommendations.
