I just had an ATF regular of mine tell me he’s not hobbying “until this all blows over”. I’m curious as to what everyone thinks?

People keep saying stick with regulars. Are regulars immune? To be honest I am just shocked people want to risk spreading the virus and prolonging the quarantines and pushing us into a stricter controlled situation as things continue to get worse.

Has the government ever put any of you on quarantine before? And yet you act like it is no big deal. The entire world is trying to come together to save humanity. If more people are sick than hospitals can handle, just like in Italy, the doctors are forced to decide who gets treated and who gets left to die because there isn’t room for both. And it hasn’t stopped, it is growing more and more everyday in Italy. The CDC considers us to be just over a week behind that type of scenario if we don’t get it locked down now. If you haven’t been tested then you have no idea if you are a carrier or actually progressing towards symptoms. This means every person you interact with closely is being put at risk of death, and everyone they will interact with and on and on. It literally multiplies exponentially if people act like it ain’t shit and do whatever they want. Did you even see the college students partying for spring break and tossing that oh I’m so cool I got nothing to worry about shit around and then their whole group tested positive.

You have kids? Parents? Siblings? Friends? By going out and playing it off like nothing, you are telling everyone in your life that you care more about your own desires than you do about their lives.

It is hard economically for almost everybody. It isn’t just providers going through hard financial times. It is most of the world. You are not alone so please don’t behave as though there is nobody else but you.

I am baffled this is still even a question. Take a look at the CDC website. See how other countries that are further along in the corona timeline are faring and what they are doing. Read on there how we are on the same track. All we did was post memes and hateful stuff about the Chinese and others that traveled immediately after testing positive. You haven’t been tested and could be positive as well and here we are trying to decide if this thing is a real concern or not??? Wtf??? This is a serious situation, a historical time. Why does the US have to go down in history for thinking it is above everyone else and then gets fucked off by a virus that other nations came together and handled but we just couldn’t stop partying and chasing pleasure.

If no provider wants to see me in the future for posting things like this, I am fine with that 100%. I keep coming here and other places trying to share information. This place for some reason has been the only place fighting back against the information as if it is a joke and a game. I don’t get it. We are only as strong as our weakest link, and humanity could be facing devastation if the world isn’t able to make things happen to stop and cure the spread of the virus in time. The more we fuck around, the more time we knock off the clock. It’s not like I am here trying to gain anything for myself, I’m not messaging anyone or talking to anyone individually on here. I am trying to help y’all just like all those other people suffering around the world are doing what they can to help not just themselves but us as well. Other countries are sharing deep, extremely personal situations and information with us to try and help us avoid the same fate. Some sacrifice their lives trying to help and here we have a constant discussion on how we can sacrifice the lives of others just so we can retain the pleasures of our former lives prior to this pandemic. This is truly a sad time.

I know a few at least are ready to hate on me. That’s fine, hate me and talk bad to me idc, just do something good for your neighbors and people around the entire world, make a small sacrifice so mankind does not take a devastating blow to the ecosystem of the human world.

This is truly a tragic and terrifying thing happening all around us and I wanted opinions from my peers in THIS community. Yes I have family, friends and loved ones and I AM being cautious and absolutely NOT just brushing this off.
Never once did I make this “an about me” post and trust me, I know EVERYONE is struggling at this very moment.

If you are living paycheck to paycheck you can’t even afford to go the hospital rt now as there aren’t paychecks coming in. Also if you get it and get cured that doesn’t mean all of a sudden quarantine is over and you get your job back. That business is still closed. And now we have to find out who you passed the disease to. And mentioning loved ones, you likely infected them all trying to go this route.

We cannot be certain that early exposure makes you immune. We don’t have a controlled population to test that theory accurately on. Just retrospective data from those already infected and it’s way to soon to come to that conclusion. If we go off of other respiratory diseases, it’s quite common for someone to have relapse viral (and bacterial) infections.

I do feel for those that count on this as primary income but long-term it’s better to abstain in my opinion. And not just my opinion, it’s the opinion of our top infectious disease experts. Doesn’t matter how safe YOU (meaning any reader of this) are...we can’t be sure about anyone else.

This is not a bullshit drill. It’s real. Be safe everyone!

I believe that at some point everyone will simply have to shut down hobbying along with RW contact. I am in Houston and we don't have the order YET..... I actually have a "job interview" tomorrow. I couldn't believe it when they called me.

I believe everyone has to make health conscious and healthy decisions for themselves.

I have 5 granddaughters that I can't see or hug right now, we must refrain from dangerous situations right now, hobbying is out for me until our country can get it right and safe for everyone. As with all sites even this one there is at least 30% posting of all facts. Most the time it is mostly a few incomplete facts with more opinion. I hope all rely on the CDC and Their own doctors and nurses. Also reviewing their local government news for policy. The choices are our own.
