There is a new batch every year, which speaks disastrously to the prospects for American education, but delightfully for those who enjoy dark humor. These are the real deal originating from actual high school essays. The analogies and metaphors are wince inducing--enjoy but beware.
1. Her face was a perfect oval, like a circle that had its two sides gently compressed by a Thigh Master.
2. His thoughts tumbled in his head, making and breaking alliances like underpants in a dryer without Cling Free.

OK, some are strained, some are hackned but some are better than Stephen King walking a lonely road in Maine and meeting a strange van.

Very Cool. I once got a dishonorable Mention in the big Bulwer-Lytton competition run out of San Diego State. Haven't tried entering in the last couple of years, though.
